RFPT fire-proofing tape is a self-fusing, fire-resistant tape that effectively enhances the fire resistance of electrical equipment, power cables, lines and connections. This tape protects equipment from external flames and combustion caused by internal faults for the safety of personnel and other equipment.

RFPT tape is simple and quick to apply. The material enables the layers of tape to fuse together tightly. The ends of the tape also do not require any additional bonding.

RFPT provides a perfect solution for fire protection of joints and connections through a simple and effective outer layer of fire protection technology for cable and other power systems. This solution also provides resistance to acid-base corrosion and UV radiation and can be used in a variety of joint shapes for indoor and outdoor applications.

Technical Specifications

Material: High-performance fire-proofing compound (self-fusing, UV-resistant, acid-base chemical corrosion resistant, environmentally friendly).

Mechanical Strength: Density 1.6–1.8 g/cm³ | Tensile strength ≥ 4 MPa | Ultimate elongation ≥ 450% (per GB/T 2951.11 / IEC 60811).

Thermal & Environmental: Accelerated aging (168 hrs at 150°C): Tensile strength change ±20%, Elongation change ±20% (per GB/T 2951.12 / IEC 60811). Low temperature elongation (4 hrs at -40°C): ≥ 100% (per GB/T 2951.14 / IEC 60811).

Fire Performance: Oxygen Index: ≥ 40% (per GB/T 2406 / ASTM D2863 / ISO 4589-2). Bunched Cables Combustion: ≤ 0.7 m char length (per GB/T 18380-2001 Type A / IEC 60332B-2000).
