Substation Extension 150 kV Sukamara

PT Iradat Aman Globalindo executed the 150 kV Sukamara Substation Extension project to reinforce grid capacity and supply reliability in the region. As part of regional power infrastructure development, this project expands the existing substation's switching and bay capacity to accommodate growing electricity demands and enhance overall grid stability.

Expanding Substation Capacity in Active High-Voltage Environments

Extending an operational 150 kV substation presents unique technical and safety challenges. The execution required constructing new bay foundations, installing primary high-voltage equipment, and integrating control systems right next to energized high-voltage infrastructure. Minimizing disruption to the existing power grid, maintaining strict safety clearances for heavy civil works, and adhering to PLN’s rigorous commissioning standards required precise planning and risk management.

End-to-End Civil & Electrical EPC Execution

Iradat delivered a comprehensive EPC strategy tailored for high-voltage substation expansion. Our specialized team managed site preparation, structural civil works, gantry and equipment foundation pouring, primary equipment installation (circuit breakers, disconnectors, instrument transformers), and control wiring. Working in close alignment with PLN operators, we executed seamless integration and secondary testing without compromising the stability of the active grid.
