TE’s Raychem self-curing insulation, MVIP, is an insulation product made of high-performance, self-curing silicone materials. It can be widely used for insulation and sealing protection of overhead lines up to 10kV, plus connection points, bus bars and other power components.

Before self-curing, MVIP is highly flexible and can easily conform to adapt to various complex connections or configurations. It can be quickly installed in power systems without any tools. High quality adhesive properties allow it to be firmly bonded to electrical materials such as wire cores or copper bars with reliable insulation and sealing performance.

In overhead applictions the self-cured MVIP material offers reliable insulation properties as well. Its proven UV resistance thermal stability and flame retardant properties ensure longterm stability in power systems. Even in the harshest outdoor environments it o ers reliable insulation and waterproofi ng of your power connections.

Dielectric constant 3 | Dielectric dissipation factor 0.04 (per GB/T 1409).

Thermal, Curing & Environmental: Shelf life: 12 months. Curing timeline (20°C, 50% humidity): Open shelf life 30 mins | Surface drying 2 hrs | Strength 4 hrs | Full curing 7 days. Flammability: V0 (per GB/T 2408 / IEC 60695-11-10). UV resistance (2000 hrs): No cracking or damage (per GB/T 16422.3 / ISO 4892-3). Thermal shock (-40°C to +85°C, 200 cycles): No cracking or damage. Salt fog resistance (1000 hrs): No cracking or damage (per GB/T 2423.18 / IEC 60068-2-52).
